Transgender Community to Raise a Strong Voice Against Drugs! Major Anti-Drugs Awareness Rally from Veera Desai to Amboli Police Station on November 7
Real Voice Foundation takes the initiative for a Drug-Free Mumbai; transgender representatives, social workers, NGOs and citizens invited to join the campaign.
Mumbai | Real News of India
In a significant initiative aimed at creating awareness against drug abuse and protecting the future of young people, the Real Voice Foundation is organising an Anti-Drugs Awareness Rally on Saturday, 7 November 2026, in Andheri West, Mumbai.
One of the most significant aspects of this campaign is the active participation of the transgender community. Members of the Kinner and transgender community will come forward to raise their voices against drug abuse and demonstrate their commitment to social welfare and public awareness.
The rally will begin at 4:00 PM from the Veera Desai area of Andheri West and proceed towards Amboli Police Station.
Transgender Community Steps Forward for Social Responsibility
Through this initiative, the transgender community aims to send a powerful message: its contribution to society goes beyond advocating for its own rights. It is equally committed to protecting young people, supporting families and building a safer society for future generations.
Through the platform of Real Voice Foundation, transgender community members will actively participate in spreading awareness about the harmful effects of drugs and encouraging collective action against illegal drug sales and trafficking through lawful channels.
Police Officials, Social Workers and NGOs Invited
Real Voice Foundation has extended invitations to senior Mumbai Police officials, including the Police Commissioner, concerned ACPs, DCPs and other departmental officers.
Social workers, NGO representatives, community leaders and members of various social organisations have also been invited to participate.
The objective is to strengthen cooperation between citizens and the police administration and encourage people to report information about suspected illegal drug activities through appropriate legal channels.
Foundation Leaders and Transgender Representatives to Participate
The campaign will be led by S.M. Fanus, President of Real Voice Foundation, and Mehendi Ali, All India Secretary of Real Voice Foundation.
Jannat, Mumbai President, and Zoya Ansari, President of Real Voice Foundation for Malad-Malvani, are also expected to participate with their respective teams.
Transgender representatives and office-bearers working across different parts of Mumbai have also been invited. Members are expected to join the rally with their supporters and raise a united voice against drug abuse.
What Does the Campaign Aim to Achieve?
Through this public awareness campaign, citizens will be encouraged to:
- Educate young people and children about the harmful effects of drugs.
- Support people struggling with addiction by encouraging professional treatment, counselling and rehabilitation.
- Report suspected illegal drug sales and trafficking to the appropriate police authorities.
- Avoid taking the law into their own hands and allow the police to investigate.
- Build stronger cooperation among families, NGOs, citizens and law enforcement agencies.
More Than a Rally – A Movement Towards a Drug-Free Society
Real Voice Foundation aims to take this awareness campaign beyond a single event. The organisation hopes to encourage similar awareness initiatives in different parts of Mumbai, including Veera Desai, Andheri, Malad-Malvani and other localities.
The broader message is that every section of society has a responsibility to protect young people and work towards a drug-free environment.
The programme will also recognise and appreciate the contributions of selected social workers, NGO representatives and volunteers who work for the welfare of society.
