Mumbai, February 13th, 2026: Jyoti Structures Limited (JSL), a listed Engineering, Procurement and Construction company specialising in power transmission infrastructure, reported steady operational performance in 2025, supported by stable project execution and consistent site-level outcomes across its active portfolio.
JSL grew its workforce in 2025 by onboarding over 70 engineers, increased women representation to 39 employees, and expanded overall employee strength to more than 750 personnel. During the same period, the company conducted 53 internal workshops focused on technical and functional capability building and implemented three CSR initiatives supported through employee participation.
The company also advanced its execution readiness through manufacturing expansion and governance frameworks. NEW DELHI: (Feb 12) Over 13 per cent of heart failure cases among people living with diabetes in India could be linked to physical inactivity, a global study has estimated.
The findings, published in the Journal of Sport and Health Science, also show that 9.6 per cent of coronary heart disease and 9.4 per cent of cardiovascular complication cases among people living with diabetes in India could be attributed to lack of physical activity.
Globally, one in ten cases of macrovascular (large blood vessel) complications and retinopathy in people with diabetes is due to physical inactivity, researchers said.
KOZHIKODE (KERALA): (Feb 13) A Kerala court on Friday sentenced a 62-year-old man to six years rigorous imprisonment for molesting a class two student at a wedding hall near Perambra here nearly six years ago.
Nadapuram Fast Track Special Court judge Devan K Menon convicted and sentenced the accused for the offence of molestation under the IPC and also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on the convict, special public prosecutor Manoj Aroor said.
According to the prosecutor, the incident occurred on April 17, 2019 at a wedding hall near Perambra.
KANPUR: (Feb 13) A local court on Friday directed police to conduct a technical and mechanical inspection of the Lamborghini car involved in the high-profile crash that left several people injured on VIP Road earlier this week, and submit a detailed report before the next hearing on February 20.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) Amit Singh instructed the Gwaltoli SHO to examine the high-end car bearing the registration number DL11CF4018, and complete all required formalities.
The court also sought a compliance report along with the case file.
LUCKNOW: (Feb 13) Justice Pankaj Bhatia of the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court on Friday recused himself from hearing bail pleas, saying certain recent observations made by the Supreme Court had a “huge demoralising and chilling effect” on him.
The judge declined to hear a bail plea filed by Rakesh Tiwari, and urged the high court chief justice to withdraw the bail roster from him.
“Although it is well known that there is no judge who can claim that his order has never been set aside or interfered with, I also feel from the perusal of the judgment of the Supreme Court that the bail order granting bail was apparently subject to interference.
SURAT: (Feb 13) A 26-year-old woman and her four-year-old son were found dead in her paternal house in Umra in Gujarat’s Surat city on Friday afternoon, a police official said.
Deceased Poonam Tayde and her son lived with her mother and two brothers after her divorce in August last year, the Umra police station official said.
“Both mother and son were found hanging in the room. Prima facie, it looks like a case of suicide. However, more details will be had after post mortem is carried out on Saturday,” the official said. PTI KVM BNM
BIJAPUR: (Feb 13) Security forces on Friday recovered 14 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) planted by Maoists in a forested area of Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district, police officials said.
They also unearthed two Maoist dumps containing explosive materials and other items, the officials added.
The recoveries were made during an anti-Naxal operation conducted in Tadpala hills area under Usoor police station limits by personnel of 196th battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and 204th battalion of CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action- an elite unit of CRPF), an official said.
NAGPUR: (Feb 13) A staffer at the additional tehsil office in Umred in Nagpur was arrested for allegedly seeking and accepting a bribe, a Maharashtra Anti Corruption Bureau official said on Friday.
Revenue Assistant Vijay Bhagwanji Shadmake allegedly sought Rs 3000 from a man who wanted correction of names in the 7/12 land document, he said.
“He took Rs 2,000 and then began seeking the remaining Rs 1000. The man approached ACB, which laid a trap. Shadmake was caught red-handed accepting the balance amount. A case under Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered at Bela police station. Further probe is underway,” the official said. PTI COR BNM
MUMBAI: (Feb 13) Actor Rani Mukerji on Friday said she is happy with the box office success of her latest movie “Mardaani 3” and believes it will only push other filmmakers to make more such films.
Mukerji, who reprised her role of tough cop Shivani Shivaji Roy in the movie, said “Mardaani 3” is a film that inspires people and spreads awareness.
“It was important that the film gets love in theatres from audiences. I can’t express how happy I am to see the love that it is receiving in the third week of its release. To get this kind of love from audiences for a female-led film in this entire environment is a healthy thing for the industry.
